Pour and pool
the gelatinous paint spread green
or red so thin beneath a skin of gold
that pushes beneath my nails
and guilds the ambivalent forms.
Cut through a tinted shadow
-make rich the stained line
here and there it’s an uncertain barrier
holding back nothing, defining nothing
but drawn there like vague desire
to be caught within the canvas weave.
