This work juxtaposes the self-referential reality of Minimal sculpture with the conspicuous unreality of toys, models, and video games in ways that reference, and make present, a technophilic future. Put otherwise, these works collapse the temporal distinction between future and present, while at the same time problematizing the difference between reality and its simulated surrogates.
