Pastel drawings

Large Charcoal & Pastels:

My charcoal and pastel drawings of surreal human forms floating in pitch black or colored voids are antagonistic or humorous. Sometimes they form an amorphous pile of orgasmic shapes, or become a single being, full of tension and confusion as they struggle within themselves.

I draw as the model moves, creating the unexpected and humorous forms.  These biomorphic shapes reflect the struggles and confusion of humanity. The Celtic designs add a dimension of symmetry to the larger drawings.

Acrylic Paintings:
These large acrylic paintings of geometric shapes are about color and how it makes the shapes come forward or move back in space.  The symmetry of shapes fools the eye when a five pointed star is suspended in a square with six circles in the center.
