Hana Davis attended Pratt Institute and the Fashion Institute of Technology.  She has worked as an illustrator for many years.  Her interest in drawing and painting the figure has been a life long passion.

 

Ms. Davis' work attempts to explore gesture, the most primal and complex form of communicating ideas and emotions to others and the self.  Strong black marks and abstract shapes contribute to the exploration of how the gesture of the figure transcends the body and reveals the spirit. 

 

She has exhibited her work at the Nassau County Museum of Art, the Hecksher Museum, and the Art League of Long Island.
