My work consists of small scale objects and moments that operate to recreate an unsophisticated version of a putative or actual force (history, architecture, water). The contrast between the modest physicality of the objects and the referenced forces distills and elevates all processes in the realm of human experience.
I convert discarded objects from obsolete to dormant; I rescue and reanimate them so that they reproduce a simple model of a larger-than-life force. I manipulate the original function or essence of the antiquated objects to create a new poetic and fragile rendition of force.
