These ink drawings and etchings examine the relationship between line, shape, and form. The lines and shapes integrate, interact, and function as a whole. As the drawing developed, the forms in the composition changed. This change allowed for more possibilities, new direction, and unpredictability.
With uncertain beginnings, I was able to start by using the inspiration from my environment. I also work from intuition, memory and spontaneity. Through my intuition, I am able to explore and experiment. Consciously and unconsciously, each drawing developed and unfolded itself onto the paper. By taking risks, I was able to push through my own boundaries and inhibitions.
