Contemporary Photographer

Susan G. Hammond is a contemporary photographer who received her BFA in 2001 and her MFA, in 2005, from William Paterson University, Wayne, New Jersey.

 

Her photography has been in solo and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and is in the permanent collection of the Lakeview Museum of Fine Art, in Texas.  Susan has been published with Canon, Nikon, The Montclair Times, The Star Ledger, the New Jersey Herald, Who’s Who in American Colleges,
 and in the recent photography book entitled, "The Art of Seeing."

 

Susan is involved with 12 art organizations, and on the board of Studio Montclair in NJ. She has been the Chair of Membership (2007-2008) for the National Association of Women Artists), and in April of 2008 was elected President of N.A.W.A. This is the oldest Women’s Art Organization in the U.S. (with approximately 1000 members throughout the country). They will be celebrating their 120th Anniversary in 2009.

 

For the past 22+ years she has been a technical equipment illustrator for the Department of Defense, and hopefully Susan retire from this position during 2009.
